Whole Wheat Hamburger and Hot Dog Buns ~ (Dairy Free)

Here is my favorite recipe for hamburger and hot dog buns.  I don't always have luck when I make homemade bread but this recipe has never failed me.  These buns are soft with a delicious olive oil flavor.  They are very simple to put together.  I usually don't proof my yeast, is not necessary unless you think your yeast is old or dead.  Also, this recipe only requires a single rise so its only about 20 minutes of hands on time to make.  You can add an egg wash and top with sesame seeds if desired. Ingredients: 1 cup warm water 1 package of yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons) 2 TBSP honey or sugar 1 tsp salt 1/4 cup olive oil 1 egg 2 cups whole wheat flour 1 1/2 - 2 cups all purpose flour Mix the first six ingredients.  Add the whole wheat flour and mix.  Knead in the all purpose flour until the dough is no longer sticky and is smooth and elasstic, about 8 minutes.  Form into 8 buns and place them on a silicone mat lined cookie sheet.  Let rise in a...

Freezer cooking is an umbrella term to mean any meal prep done ahead of time and frozen.  There are different ways to freezer cook and there are pro and cons of each.  Let's look closer at each style to see which might be the best fit for you. Once A Month Cooking Once a month cooking (OAMC) is preparing or mostly preparing an entire months worth of meals in one day.  The cooking day is usually very long, must be thoroughly organized and works best if you have helpers.  Most OAMC recipes are not actually cooked on cooking day but prepared and portioned out for quick cooking when they are needed. Happy little crochet Christmas tree ornament Materials: small amounts of worsted weight yarn, size h (or similar) crochet hook, blunt yarn needle, scissors. Key : inc – increase, put 2 sc in the stich Tree Foundation: ch 2 row 1: 2 sc in 2 nd chain from hook row 2: sc across, ch 1 turn row 3: inc in first st, sc across to last stitch, inc in last st repeat alternating rows 2 & 3 until triangle is 10 rows long and 10 stiches across the bottom edge. Evenly sc around, adding and extra stitch and extra ch1 in the corners so the border lays flat and smooth. Repeat for a second triangle, leave a long tail for sewing on one of the triangles Star make magic loop *ch 2, sc in second ch from hook, sl st into magic loop, repeat from * 4 more times.
